CEC does accept purchase orders. Any purchase order processed and invoiced for registration at for early bird registration rates must be paid in full by the early bird registration deadline, February 2, 2017. A rate increase will apply on purchase orders billed at early bird rates that are not paid by February 2, 2017.
All invoices for convention registration generated on or after February 2 will need to be paid in full by March 17, 2017.
Purchase orders are subject to the CEC refund/cancellation policy. Please review the policy below before submitting a purchase order.
Registrations paid or promised by check, credit card, or purchase order are subject to the following:
By February 2, 2017 – Cancellations will be accepted in writing postmarked no later than February 2, 2017. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from all refund checks.
After February 3, 2017. Cancellations will be accepted in writing postmarked no later than March 17, 2017. A $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from all refund checks.
Convention Workshops are non-refundable, regardless of form of payment.
Substitutions will be accepted for convention registration and convention workshops. Substitution requests should be sent in writing to: [email protected]. Please contact CEC Customer Service at 1-888-232-7733 for assistance.

After April 1, 2017 ‑ No refunds will be accepted.
In most cases, there is no additional registration fee. If you are exhibiting at the convention, please refer to the registration and policy information on the expo site — cecexhibits.com.
Yes, CEC encourages teams of special and general educators, paraprofessionals and administrators to register from the same school or school district. We offer a 10% discount for groups of five or more. Group rates are granted only when all forms arrive together as a packet with full payment or an original purchase order.
Volunteer opportunities are available to individuals in the host state of Massachusetts until December 15, 2016, who are willing and able to commit to 8, 6, 4, or 2 hours of work during the week of convention. Volunteers receive up to a 40% discount off the advance rates according to the number of volunteer hours worked. Volunteer opportunities will open to all interested individuals on December 16, 2016.

Yes. A $35 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
Rules and Conditions
All attendees of Council of Exceptional Children’s (CEC) events agree to comply with all rules and conditions of the event, including all rules published at www.cec.sped.org and related event websites and brochures. Attendees of any CEC activity must wear the official event name badge. Name badges are required for admission to all events. Badges are closely monitored to prevent unauthorized persons from participating in the CEC event. CEC event registration may not be used for advertising, promotions, giveaways, sweepstakes or other trade purposes without express written consent of CEC. Attendees must behave responsibly at all CEC events. Threatening physical actions and disorderly or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event, denial of access to event facilities and other penalties. CEC event attendees voluntarily assume all risk and danger of personal injury (including death) and all hazards arising from, or related in any way to the event, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the event, however caused and whether by negligence and/or otherwise. Rules and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Attendees may not under any circumstances conduct any live or recorded audio, video or photographic activities without the express permission of the Executive Director or Director of Communications and Marketing.
