Lunch tickets. If you took advantage of the onsite lunch offer, plan on picking up your tickets on site at the Levy Restaurant booth in the Registration Area.
Download the App. The CEC 2016 App on iTunes or Google Play is available for you to download on your smartphone and/or tablet. Browse from hundreds of sessions to 200+ exhibitors to dozens of social events, all be at your fingertips. This app is so smart it will keep track of all the booths you want to visit and the sessions you want to attend, and it can even help you navigate the America’s Center. Our App Fairies are updating it continuously, so don’t worry if you don’t see everything you need right away—it will all be there next week. Time to build your schedule!
Your badge. Misplaced it or left it at home? No big deal! Replacement badges can be picked up in the Registration Area at America’s Center. If you live outside the United States and/or registered after March 24, you can pick up your badge at the Already Registered counter onsite. Program books and convention totes will be available in the Registration Area as well—just show your badge for a quick pick-up.

Registration Area. Registration will open Tuesday at 2 p.m., and at 7 a.m. Wednesday-Saturday in the foyer outside Halls 1 and 2. For specific hours visit our Schedule at a Glance or consult The App.
Accessibility & onsite accommodations. All CEC 2016 sessions will take place at America’s Center, and business meetings and social events will be held at the Marriott St. Louis Grand. All CEC events are ADA accessible. If you require special accommodations, please visit the Accessibility Booth on the Ground Level of America’s Center.

Dressing for STL. You can expect temperatures in the morning to be in upper 60s/low 70s. We recommend comfortable shoes for walking and a sweater or jacket. America’s Center and our hotels are right in the heart of St. Louis, with easy walks to restaurants and shopping.

Legislative Action Center. Be an advocate at CEC’s Legislative Action Center (LAC) in CEC Central at the center of the Expo Hall. Write letters to your members of Congress on CEC’s important issues.
Events. CEC 2016 has plenty of social events, so be sure not to miss them! There’s lots to do, from the Opening General Session with Keynote Speaker Temple Grandin followed by the President’s Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening in the Expo Hall to an Ice Cream Social on Thursday afternoon to Division and State/Provincial Unit Receptions on Thursday evening to our Friday Dessert with the Vendors in the Expo Hall. On Friday evening DON’T MISS the heartwarming Yes I Can Awards celebration starting at 4:30 p.m. Helping your students succeed is the reason you do what you do, so we hope you will celebrate the achievements of these 12 shining stars with us at this inspirational event! Especially for students. Undergrads, Grads and Docs! Don’t miss the Student Forum on Thursday morning in America’s Center. This information-packed session includes presentations by CEC President Antonis Katsiyannis, the CEC Clarissa Hug Teacher of the Year, and other respected gurus in the field. It’s a great way to kick off CEC 2016!
Divisions and Caucuses in the Expo Hall. Many of CEC’s 18 Special Interest Divisions, as well as our CEC Caucuses, will be exhibiting alongside the companies and service providers supporting CEC 2016. So, if you’re looking to connect with a Division or want to learn more about the activities of a Caucus, follow the map in The App and find them in the Expo Hall.
Prizes, prizes and more prizes. There are so many ways to win big at CEC 2016, so watch for next week’s email when we tell you how to do it. All attendees of Council of Exceptional Children’s (CEC) events agree to comply with all rules and conditions of the event, including all rules published at www.cec.sped.org and related event websites and brochures. Attendees of any CEC activity must wear the official event name badge. Name badges are required for admission to all events. Badges are closely monitored to prevent unauthorized persons from participating in the CEC event. CEC event registration may not be used for advertising, promotions, giveaways, sweepstakes or other trade purposes without express written consent of CEC. Attendees must behave responsibly at all CEC events. Threatening physical actions and disorderly or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event, denial of access to event facilities and other penalties.
